fambam

whenever i am sad, sick, or stressed out, i will call my mama. i will tell her all about my current ailments, and she'll listen and baby me over the phone.

and then after our conversation of me wailing and complaining, and her consoling me, she will text me something like: "aja aja fighting! i pray for you! i love you!" and then a relevant bible verse to my current predicament.

she always says that when it comes to me, it's "no news is good news", since i only call her when i need to cry. but she loves me anyway :) she is my best friend and my inspiration.

she also has a MUCH better sense of style than i do, and her closet is what my closet aspires to look like one day. i will randomly shop in her closet for vintage items, or when i have something important coming up. for example, for my interview over spring break, i came up with an akris blouse, dolce & gabana skirt, prada heels, and chanel bag. score!!!

i've been missing the fambam lately - maybe its bc the sun is out and it reminds me of home.
my family has a weird relationship with each other, where we can be strangely distant and close at the same time. i used to blame my family for "ruining my life" repeatedly from the ages 13 - 18; but at the age of 23 i can proudly say that my life is still intact and not ruined in the least! thanks umma, appa, and oppa!
