I have been starting my days with porn of the edible variety at foodgawker. It has been inspiring me to cook, but not having a car/funds/time/occasions to cook + the usual excuse of being lazy has waned the inspiration. I made Giada's chicken parm on Monday, (no pictures though. sad) with old frozen chicken and string cheese. Nick said it was good. You better not have been lying. I haven't made anything since then, except eggs and toast and popsicles.
Tonight is my first time vacuuming my room since winter break...
I think vacuum companies need to invent some revolutionary vacuuming device that does NOT use a wheel; I had so much hair stuck in my vacuum wheel that I had to go at it with scissors for a good 20 minutes (gross). Perhaps some kind of hovering device that sucks up hairs and wraps them into tight little hairballs that can easily be dumped out. Housewives, cleaning ladies, and boyfriends who get stuck vacuuming up their girlfriend's hair, all around the world would rejoice! I hope a woman comes up with this technology.
I also hope a woman will one day design an option for luxury car companies for a space to put one's purse in cars. I don't need a damn side console that fills up with pens and junk, what I need is a convenient place to put my oversized and usually overweight hunk of leather when I hop into the car and I have someone in my passenger seat. Putting it on the floor beneath your passenger's feet is annoying and can be an awkward crowding of space, plus I prefer to not keep my purses withing range of my passenger's dirty shoes. Putting it in the back seat is impractical, particularly for us girls who drive humongous suvs, and potentially life-threatening for us girls who have a tendency to always be fishing around in our purses for something or another.
Anyway, so I vacuumed my room today and found it to be very therapeutic. My room can get rather messy with things piled up in random places for prolonged periods of time, but I can NOT stand dirty. Fine line, stark difference. My floors are clean and I am heppi.
To the defense of all of us messy room keepers, psychiatrists say that we are generally a more patient breed of people.
So I spent my Friday night watching 5 (more) episodes of Friday Night Lights, and vacuuming my room. I also gave myself a facial, cut my bangs, and repainted my nails. There is always something to do.
I am craving macarons to no end. I wonder if there are any good macarons to be found in aa....

totally agree with that purse option thing. i usually just squeeze it between myself and the door when i'm driving. so so annoying
