making room for thought

the japanese. they never cease to amaze me. i wanted to get my nails did like this when i was in tokyo last winter, but i ran out of time and yen. but i brought home a magazine, and found a DIY tutorial on nails art. although i couldn't read it, the pictures told the story - there is no shortcut; each little belabored bead/bow/sparkle/heart is intricately set into place with tweezers and steady hands. i am barely patient enough to let a single coat of nail polish dry, before i have the urge to go do something totally unnecessary and ruin them.

speaking of which, i came across this product while surfing the interwebz for more cosmetic goods i dont need but would like to waste my money on.

drying drops from OPI! apparently they dry your nails in 5 minutes with one drop. the reviews rave about it, but beware ladies- sephora reviews lie through their teeth. (for real product reviews, try makeupalley.)

so this thought actually came from something else i found online.

Japanese Pocky art! such intricate attention to detail.

i really don't know why i felt the urge to blog about this. i don't find any of this quite intriguing enough so as to make others think, wow, intriguing. actually, it's all quite vapid.

this is me expounding on the empty thoughts in my head so as to make room for some real thoughts, so i can finish preparing for tomorrow's oral argument already.
