but inside my heart of hearts, i knew that J. Crew was going to do well for the next few years. i knew somehow, there was money to be made here. and same with the color green - but you can't invest in a color.
lo and behold, green has been featured as "the new black" in Vogue and InStyle (too lazy to cite issue months, but i promise they exist). also, the new Chanel green nail polish has been sold out forever - it literally has become it's new black...remember when it was im-possible to buy Chanel black nail polish? girls are so ridic. Chanel black polish is fully stocked now, and green is backordered for months.
in any event, look what i stumbled on while surfing the interwebz today: J. Crew 3Q Profit Doubles as Sales Spike
HA. i so called it: J. Crew stock has doubled in value since the inauguration. shares have risen from $9.61 per share to $19.23 (yes, i looked it up!). and even though i don't know what the hell this article is substantively about, all i know is that J. Crew stock is up and that's what i predicted. because Michelle Obama is cool. along with Michelle Kwan, for the same underlying reason of course.
this post is to vindicate myself to my momma. even though she does not read this blog. insert told-ya-so dance here.
hahaha amazing. but maybe if the Obamas get kicked out of office...the stock will become a loser...you never know in politics!
ReplyDeletejust if we could invest in names. michelle's are up over 200 percent this quarter!
ReplyDeletehi michelle!
ReplyDeleteYes, most of my pictures are taken with the leica or if its bad quality, probably my iphone)!
